Pinned Folders
Pinned folders are your primary sorting targets. By pinning frequently used destination folders, you can move or copy media files to them with a single keystroke, dramatically speeding up your sorting workflow.
How Pinned Folders Work
Section titled “How Pinned Folders Work”Pinned folders appear in a dedicated section of the folder panel, labeled with numbers (1 through 9). Each pinned folder is assigned a numbered shortcut:
- Alt+1 through Alt+9: Move the currently selected media file directly to the corresponding pinned folder.
- Alt+Shift+1 through Alt+Shift+9: Copy (instead of move) the selected media file to the pinned folder.
The numbers are determined by the order of pinned folders in the list.
Pinning a Folder
Section titled “Pinning a Folder”There are two ways to pin a folder:
| Method | Key | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Pin selected folder | F | Pins the folder currently highlighted in the folder tree |
| Pin any folder | P | Opens a native folder picker dialog to choose any directory on your system |
Unpinning a Folder
Section titled “Unpinning a Folder”Press U to unpin the folder currently selected in the pinned folders list. The folder is removed from the pinned list but is not deleted from disk.
Reordering Pinned Folders
Section titled “Reordering Pinned Folders”Since pinned folders are numbered by their list order, reordering changes which number targets which folder:
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| Ctrl+W | Move the selected pinned folder up in the list |
| Ctrl+S | Move the selected pinned folder down in the list |
Reorder pinned folders to put your most-used destinations at positions 1-3 for easiest reach.
Persistence
Section titled “Persistence”Pinned folders are saved to your config.toml file and persist across application restarts. They are also included in the automatic legacy config migration if you upgraded from the WPF v2.x application.
